My mum and aunt were cleaners in there in the early 60s and they used to talk about having to wash all the blood off the walls every weekend.
One day I went with her on the Sunday cos there was no-one to look after me and there was a group rehearsing there and I sat upstairs watching them. They were the Small Faces.
Whenever I told anyone they did not believe me and even in Steve Marriotts book he never mentioned it. Always said they rehearsed in a pub in Manor Park.
I now have confirmation!

they wont get in because in reality they dont really want to. the more progressive amongst them do however see it as a useful hook to force through reforms needed for turkey to modernise. once theyve done that they will be happy to trade with europe as is with the current customs union. everyone knows that joining the EU or even EFTA is out of the question because free movement of 90 million turks would be torpedoed at the national level with vetos.
